Interviewing Skills

From interview to coaching conversation

Conducting interviews is an art and a science. You have to not only ask the right questions, but also understand the answers on a deeper level. An inadequate interview technique can lead to wrong hiring, which can be a costly mistake. So we not only chart the technical competencies of candidates, but also probe their values, attitudes and soft-skills.

Job interview

In this workshop, you will develop the skills as an HR practitioner to conduct a successful and in-depth interview. You will develop  interview techniques, follow-through questioning techniques, coaching techniques and learn to work with meta-communication and meta-cognition.

Programme

  • Body Language: Understand and use body language to promote open and honest communication.
  • Speaking techniques: Techniques to guide the conversation and obtain important information.
  • Coaching techniques: Methods to create a supportive and challenging environment.
  • Questioning techniques: Learn how to dig deeper to discover a candidate's true competencies, attitudes and work ethic.
  • Meta-communication and meta-cognition: Understand your candidate's thought process and communicate at a deeper level.
