### **How do you make your meetings more energetic?**

Do you notice that meetings often drain your energy instead of giving you energy? That your real talents and ideas often remain unused? And how many projects, which were basically good ideas, do you see fail... due to a lack of collaboration, frustration or a lack of clarity? You are not alone; a great many teams struggle with dull meetings, faltering collaboration and a growing pile of missed opportunities.

And this is while most organisations want to work like a well-oiled machine, want to innovate and want to grow. Even more so; people would very much like to contribute, offer added value and deliver engaging and meaningful work.

#### Why do things often stall in teams and organisations?

Why do so many organisations run into these obstacles? The problem does not lie with the people themselves, and usually not with their skills either. What is often missing are the right methods and structures to let everyone contribute in an effective way. Traditional meeting and consultation methods, such as rigid schedules or endless discussions without a clear direction, do not fit well with what we really need today: collaborating with an eye for everyone's input, ideas and perspectives.

#### But let us just keep doing what we have always done... right?

When you continue to work with outdated methods, frustrations naturally arise. Because people who do not feel heard or involved prefer to keep their ideas to themselves. Meetings become cumbersome, decision making becomes slow, and good ideas often do not get further than the whiteboard.

Recognisable? The classic way of collaborating and consulting, whether too rigid or too chaotic, makes it difficult to truly involve people and tap into their full potential. As a result, not only are opportunities lost, but people also often remain stuck in a working environment where they cannot share or develop their best ideas.

And you notice it... Time, money and energy are wasted, and extra effort is needed to fix problems afterwards. The result is not only frustration, but also an organisation that performs suboptimally and misses out on opportunities for innovation and growth.

#### Fortunately, there is good news! You can learn to facilitate!

Facilitating is about creating a working environment where everyone's input counts and where people truly collaborate. Simply by organising your meetings and decision making in a different way. Facilitating gives you practical tools to create support, solve problems, brainstorm creatively, learn more easily, etc.

And the good news is: these techniques are easy to learn and can therefore be applied at any level.

Facilitating does not require years of training or special skills. Anyone can learn and apply these techniques. This way you utilise the full potential of your team and transform the way you collaborate. Not through rigid control, but through the power of a good structure.

In a world where complexity and diversity are only increasing, the need for effective collaboration is greater than ever. Facilitation techniques offer the practical, no-nonsense tools to achieve this.
